week5: Julius caser  After eliminating his rivals in a civil war, general and politician Gaius Julius Caesar began serving as dictator of Rome in 49 BCE. He established several political reforms before getting stabbed to death on the Ides of March in 44 BCE. This sparked another civil war that doomed the Roman Republic to mutate into an empire with Caesar's adopted heir Octavian at the helm.

Nowadays, Caesar is still considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. His name is also synonymous with cults of personality and political strongmen. Often, we got to start out as a large fish in a small pond to succeed as a leader.

Caesar understood this. He climbed back into a position of power, even after losing his inheritance in a coup as a young man.

caser's story is a great idea from nothing to a leader, my risk was to choose my major and have a great feeling of success.
